Last Saturday marked the first official rehearsal for Sirens. We did a quick run through of our music and realized that we have our work cut out for us; however, we’re really excited to tackle this repertoire! Kelsea and Melanie were responsible for putting the program together and we’re very proud of their hard work. There is definitely something in it for everyone.

March 10th is just over a month away! Join our Facebook event, follow us on Twitter, or check us out on The Buzz’s website – tell your friends! You may also like to sign up for our ENews to receive updates on our latest projects, concerts and more.

Here is another of our favourites.  Reel a Bouche is a fantastic arrangement of a French Canadian reel. Unfortunately, we won’t have a hammer dulcimer, but we think our version will be equally full of spirit!

The music is in, emails are flying and notes are being learned for this Saturday’s rehearsal. Though we had a chance to sing with each other a couple of weeks ago, this is our first official meeting. This project has been in the works since summer 2012 – it is hard to believe our time to sing is finally here!

050Keep an eye on our website as we work our way through rehearsals and post more information on our upcoming performance (March 10, 7:30 PM – Trinity United Church, Charlottetown).

In the meantime, we’ll leave you with a beautiful setting of Ubi Caritas by Ola Gjeilo. We are excited to tackle this one – gorgeous!
