Sing with Harmonia

Do you know young people between the age of 10-20 who love to sing? Harmonia is a community where everyone can feel safe to find their voices through music. The ensemble accepts new members at the beginning of each term in September and January.

ENSEMBLE INFORMATION

  • Location: Park Royal United Church, Charlottetown;
  • Harmonia’s programming includes two choirs: Harmonia Junior for ages 10-14 or unchanged treble voices, and Harmonia Senior for ages 14-20 for treble and changed voices;
  • Rehearsals are weekly on Tuesday evenings, 6:30-7:45 PM for Harmonia Junior, and 7:30-9:00 PM for Harmonia Senior, ensembles rehearse together from 7:30-7:45 PM;
    • A day-long ensemble retreat is planned for Saturday, October 4th
    • Regular rehearsals begin on September 16, 2025, and will run until May 5, 2025;
  • Harmonia runs over two semesters, ending each semester with a concert: Saturday, December 13, 7pm and Friday, May 8th, 7pm;
  • Registration is $150/semester (September-December; January-May) totaling $300 for the year;
    • Total tuition can be paid up front, or it can be paid in two instalments – one in September and the other in January;
    • For families with more than one child in Harmonia, we’re pleased to offer a special rate: after paying the full fee for the first child, each additional child’s registration will be $125 per semester or $250 for the year;
    • We believe every child should have access to music education! There are bursaries available to those families who may find the registration fee a deterrent to participation. Click here to learn more or reach out to us directly  – we are happy to help you!
    • Receipts will be issued for your registration fees which can be used towards the Children’s Wellness Tax Credit
  • The Athena Mentorship Programming provides senior treble singers with the opportunity to rehearse and perform with Sirens;
  • Community Service Bursary hours are awarded to participating high school students.
